9/29 Class - Writing From Inside Out with Ashley Elizabeth - $36
Date: 9/29
Time: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm PDT
Cost: $45/$36 for members
Class Level: All
Writers sometimes bare it all but always do it beautifully. In this workshop, we will understand how to confess and examine what works and what doesn't. We will write out one (or many of our confessions) through guided writing and generative prompts, help each other workshop, discuss, and share. There are no genre restrictions -- all we need are open minds, hearts, something to write with, and something to write on. We all have stories inside of us. There is no reason to be scared of them.
Your Instructor: Ashley Elizabeth (she/her) is a teacher, freelance editor, and writer. Her works have appeared in SWWIM, Santa Fe Writers Project, and Kissing Dynamite, among others. Ashley's first chapbook collection, you were supposed to be a friend, is available from Nightingale & Sparrow. As the new Poetry editor for Afro Lit Magazine, assistant editor at Sundress Publications, and co-founder of the Estuary Collective, Ashley provides a safe space for BIPOC writers. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her partner and their cats. You can find her on Twitter and Instagram @ae_thepoet.
