This two-hour workshop will introduce the ins and outs of professional travel writing. We'll also cover the art of writing about place, with a writing exercise and in-class discussion.

YOUR INSTRUCTOR: Margot Bigg is a travel writer, editor who  grew up in the US and the UK. She spent much of her adult life living overseas, first in France—where she earned an MA in European studies—and then in India, where she worked as deputy editor of Time Out Jaipur. Her work has appeared in publications around the world, including National Geographic Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Rolling Stone, Lonely Planet, and Slate.  She’s also the author of three India guidebooks for Moon Guides and a co-author of numerous guides for Fodor's. When not traveling and writing, she enjoys running, studying languages, and volunteering as a producer for her local community radio station.
